It provides education with 6 main divisions “Structural, Construction Materials, Hydraulics, Geotechnical, Transportation and Mechanics”
Qualification Awarded : Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree
Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle) : First Cycle
Specific Admission Requirements : Students who have a high school and a balanced school diploma and who have enough points in the relevant field of the Undergraduate Placement Examination (LYS) made by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM) may register.

It's the one of the first departments established in our university. From now on, in the past years, a Ph.D. program has also opened in addition to his graduate degree program in order to provide continuity of the department and to increase the quality. Existing facilities and the number of faculty members are comparable to the construction departments of other old universities in our country. In 1994, undergraduate and graduate degree, in 1995 undergraduate secondary education and in 2008, doctoral education started.. 6 basic civil engineering disciplines (hydraulics, mechanics, geotechnics, transportation, building, building materials) are actively involved in education and scientific studies.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : In past years, engineers who have graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering were employed in the private sector, in public, in municipalities or in universities. Some of them are serving the market in their own firms. Some of the graduates continued or continue their graduate studies in the Department of Civil Engineering, and some of them are in other universities in Turkey or in the world. Our graduates take a position in public institutions and establishments operating in many different areas, including General Directorate of Highways, DSİ Directorates, Metropolitan and district municipalities and Universities' Construction Works Departments.
