History : History of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences which is the first higher education institution of Manisa has its roots in Ege University Economics and Commercial Sciences Faculty, Manisa Accounting Associate’s Degree High School. Our School started the education as Accounting Associate’s Degree High School; and started to give undergraduate education in 1977-78 academic years as Finance Accounting Vocational School and then turned to Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty in 1987. Our department is one of the most preferred departments and has the most comprehensive curriculum among the departments of the faculty since the foundation of Celal Bayar University in 1992.
There are both formal and evening educations at the department. The Department has the following sub-departments: Public Finance Theory, Fiscal Policy, Fiscal Law, Budget and Fiscal Planning.
Qualification Awarded : Bachelor degree in the field of Public Finance.

Specific Admission Requirements : In our country, in order for admission to universities, it is required to be successful in the Student Selection Exams (ÖSS). For citizens of Turkish Republic, admission to the bachelor degree is conditioned to the score taken from this exam and not to be registered to any other institution of higher education. Foreign students are also admitted to the related programs with the scores of central exam of YÖS (Foreign Student Exam) within the framework of certain quota. For the registration; Applicants must have a high school and an equivalent school diploma and the result certificate showing that the related division has been placed by taking sufficient points from the related field of the Undergraduate Placement Examination (LYS) made by the Centre for Measurement, Selection and Placement.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the proposal of Foreign Language and related boards and courses approved by Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempted from these courses
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : Students should fulfill 240 ECTS which has been predetermined at department programme including must and elective courses. In addition, Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) must be at least 2.00/4.00 to earn Bachelors degree for Public Finance.
Profile of The Programme : The purpose of the fiscal program is to interpret the financial events that take place in the public economy, which constitutes an important part of the overall economy, their effects and their consequences; To educate the personnel who will develop the necessary solutions with the scientific methods to the problems related to the financial issues in the public and private sectors. For this purpose, compulsory courses and elective courses are defined in the program and at the same time students are learning sector applications in the last semester
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : Our graduates are employed in a wide range of positions in both public and private sectors. They can work as a tax inspector, state auditor, government budget expert, administrative law judge, revenue expert, financial advisor, certified public accountant, customs broker, manager etc.
Access to Further Studies : Graduates, who have successfully completed undergraduate degree, providing at least minimum acceptable ALES (Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam) score and have a sufficient command on a foreign language, may apply to graduate programmes in Turkey or abroad.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Evaluation criteria for each course is determined by the faculty member who is teaching the course and this evaluation criteria is available on the University Course Information Catalogue. The students are required to take at least one midterm and one final exam in the scope of each enrolled course. In addition to these, quizzes, homeworks, presentations, projects etc. are determined by the faculty member to be involved in the evaluation criteria. At the end of the year, the grades of the students are calculated by the combination of midterm and final exam grades, in-year activities and participation in class.
When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The note that the student gets when calculating the success grade is converted to the letter grade in the relative system. The student must receive at least CC letter grades to be successful in a course. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate.

Graduation Requirements : In order to graduate from the programme, it is required to pass all the courses in the programme (equivalent to total 240 ECTS) and to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 over 4.00

Facilities : Education language is Turkish in the department. Library, reading rooms and computer labs are available for students` use. Some of the classrooms are designed as technology classrooms and it is made possible to use smart boards and projectors. Students have the opportunity of studying at contracting universities during at most two semesters within the Erasmus and Farabi programmes and Mevlana Excahenge Programme. . Presently, there are 5 professors, 2 associate professors, 2 assistant professors and 9 research assistants at the department.
