History : Labor Economics and Industrial Relations Department, established in 2012 within the faculty of economics and administrative sciences, is composed of branches of "Labor Economy", "Labor Law and Social Security Law", "Management and Work Sociology" and "Administration and Labor Psychology" . There are both formal and evening educations at the department.

Specific Admission Requirements : The students must have a high school dıploma and the result certificate showing that the relevant division has been established by taking sufficient points from the relevant area from the Undergraduate Placement Exam conducted by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement. According to the results of a central examination called Foreign Student Examination (YÖS), foreign students from a certain quota framework are accepted.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : Students who achieve a passing grade (65%) from the language exams and other lessons that are compelled by Council of Higher Education are exempt from the related course in the curriculum. Also, the recognition of the previous formal education, vertical and horizontal transitions between universities are executed according to the legislation that is determined by Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Profile of The Programme : Labour Economics and Industrial Relations Department of Science Program, the participation of large segments of the labor market with the industrialization process, examined rapidly, including labor relations in particular the interest of increasing the welfare society that social policy and towards the service sector. "Labour Economics and Industrial Relations" include -unionization of social protection, occupational health and safety from-performance, motivation and many issues ranging from peace-studies on working conditions . In this regard, section aims to address various aspects of economic and social life along with training given license. With the sector applications to be given at the beginning of the last semester, this information obtained in theory will also find application in business life.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations graduated from the "Labour Economist or Labour Economics and Industrial Relations Expert" They won the title. Graduates have the opportunity of working ın public sector, private sector (especially in human resources department) and trade unions.
Access to Further Studies : Graduates holding a Bachelor's (first cycle) degree are eligible to apply to a Masters (second cycle) degree program at national level and/or international level both in the same and in related disciplines.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Evaluation criteria for each course is determined by the faculty member who is teaching the course and this evaluation criteria is available on the University Course Information Catalogue. The students are required to take at least one midterm and one final exam in the scope of each enrolled course. In addition to these, quizzes, homeworks, presentations, projects etc. are determined by the faculty member to be involved in the evaluation criteria. At the end of the year, the grades of the students are calculated by the combination of midterm and final exam grades, in-year activities and participation in class. Success grade is converted to letter grade by applying the relative evaluation system. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade.

Facilities : Faculty consists of 1 Associate Professor, 3 Asistant Professors, 4 Research Assistants. The department uses a part of the classrooms in the buildings belonging to Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, also two fully-equipped computer halls along with other departments. Some of the classrooms are designed as technology classrooms and it is made possible to use smart boards and projectors. Also, research assistants have the opportunity to work in two-person rooms and each of them can benefit from the university library with computers that have internet connection. Students have the opportunity to take courses at different universities in Turkey and abroad at the framework of Farabi, Erasmus and Mevlana programs.
