The International Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program, which was established under the Department of International Trade and Finance of Manisa Celal Bayar University Institute of Social Sciences, started education in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Specific Admission Requirements

The principles regarding student admission to graduate education are as follows: 1. Having a bachelor's degree, 2. Having an equal weight score of at least 55 in the Academic Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES), 3. Foreign Language Exam (YDS) score of at least 40 or an equivalent score from any of the foreign language exams approved by the Interuniversity Board; Students who do not meet these requirements get at least 40 points from the central foreign language exam conducted by the University. This condition is not sought for those who apply to programs in which the preparatory class is compulsory in graduate education and those who have been successful in the preparatory class in undergraduate education. 4. The success grade in the entrance exams for master's programs with thesis must be at least 65. The entrance exam can be done in writing and/or by interview. Success grade is the sum of 50% of the relevant ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate success grade, and 30% of the written and/or interview exam grade. The success grade of the students who do not take the interview or written exam is not calculated. In cases where the written and interview exams are held together, the 30% slice is distributed equally. Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Successful students who have completed at least one semester in any department of the institute or in the master's program of another higher education institution can be admitted to the program through lateral transfer. Acceptance of the student as successful depends on the condition that student has been successful in all the courses student has taken until the date of transfer and has not received any disciplinary punishment. Students who have the right for lateral transfer can request to be exempted from the courses they have been successful in at the higher education institutions they have studied before. A scientific preparation program can be applied to candidate students who have obtained their undergraduate or graduate degrees in a different field or higher education institution in order to eliminate their deficiencies.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The International Logistics and Supply Chain Master's Program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis, with a total of not less than twenty-one credits. The seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The master's program with thesis consists of at least eight courses including the seminar course and a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including the thesis, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits in one academic year. The student has to register for the thesis study every semester, starting from the beginning of the third semester at the latest. The duration of the program is four semesters, regardless of whether or not registered for each semester, starting in the period when the courses are offered, and the maximum completion time is six semesters. Courses must be successfully completed in the first four semesters of this period. The minimum duration of the program is three semesters.

To train researchers and experts who will contribute to the national and international level of universal knowledge by structuring, conducting and developing postgraduate education and research activities in social, humanitarian sciences and arts. The vision of the master's program is to train graduate students who know the needs of our country, are aware of the requirements of the age, have problem-based and critical thinking skills, and can apply knowledge production processes in the best way. The aim of the master's program with thesis is to enable the student to gain the ability to access, evaluate and interpret information by conducting scientific research. In this process, students learn about the legislation in the field of international logistics and supply chain, applied knowledge of the sector, purchasing methods, analysis techniques, distribution channels, collaborations, etc. their knowledge and skills will be increased.

Our graduates can be employed in companies providing logistics services, foreign trade companies or intermediary institutions. In addition, our graduates can pursue careers in various management levels in the public and private sectors and functionally in the fields of marketing-sales, purchasing, accounting, customs consultancy. In addition, our graduates with thesis attend doctorate programs in their field and continue their academic careers.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|
:
|
1. Exams for credit courses consist of midterm, final, make-up and make-up exams. Apart from midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities deemed appropriate by the instructor can be done. The number of these activities and their contribution to the course grade are indicated in the course plan by the instructor. 2. In order for the student to take the final and make-up exams, he/she must have attended at least 70% of the theoretical courses. 3. The full grade in the exams is 100 (one hundred) points. 4. The authority to assign letter grades according to the success grade belongs to the faculty member. In order to be successful in a course, the letter grade must be at least CC. 5. The contribution of the final exam grade to the success grade cannot be less than 40% or more than 60%. 6. Students who continue their thesis studies are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The same evaluation is valid for non-credit courses, specialization courses and seminars and is not included in the grade point average.

Graduation Requirements

1. To be successful in the thesis defense exam 2. To provide other necessary conditions for graduation. 3. To submit at least three bound copies of the master's thesis, prepared in accordance with the thesis writing guide, to the Institute of Social Sciences within one month from the date of the thesis defense examination.
