Graduates can take the Specialization Examination and in case of a successful score they can specialize and be Consultant/Specialist. They can also apply to PhD programs held in Health Sciences Institutes of universities.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Education and Examination Regulations of Faculty of Medicine, Manisa Celal Bayar University is determined by the Faculty Board and it is available on the University Course Information Catalogue as well as on the web pages of the Faculty of Medicine. First 3 years (Pre-clinical Years) of the medical curriculum is comprised of modules whereas 4th and 5th Years of the medical curriculum is comprised of Clinical Placements. Students are assessed by a written test and practical examination(s) after each module and a final written examination at the end of the year. In clinical placements, students are assessed by oral examinations at the end of each placement.

In order to earn the title of Medical Doctor, students must take 360 ECTS credits, get a overall weighted grade average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and have internship as intern doctor for 12 months in the last year

Physical location: education is being held in the Basic Medical Sciences Building at Uncubozkoy Campus and Health Application and Research Hospital. Academic staff offices, classes, labs and cafes exist in the building at Uncubozkoy Campus. There are 3 auditoriums in the Basic Medical Sciences building and 9 classrooms at the Health Application and Research Hospital. There are also 2 professional skills lab, 1 computer lab, and 4 multidisciplinary labs for the use of preclinical education. At Uncubozkoy Campus there is a cafeteria and sports field. There are departments under Basic, Medical and Surgical Sciences Divisions. The academic staff comprises of 127 professors, 38 associate professors, 22 assistant professors, 17 instructors, and 244 research assistants. The aim of Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine is to train physicians who meets the health needs of the country, have basic skills and attitude, and are capable of following technological and scientific developments.
