History : Manisa Health Services Vocational School was established in 1993-1994. Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program started education and taking students in 1998-1999 Academic year.
Qualification Awarded : Medical Documentation and Secretarial Pre Bachelor Degree.

Specific Admission Requirements : To have high school and balanced school diploma and to get enough points from related subject of Higher Education Entrance Exam (YGS) made by Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM)
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have attended in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the related boards and the courses approved by Senate. Students who pass the exemption exam pass are exempted from these courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : To successfully complete the program, they can graduate on condition that they pass all the courses available in the program (120 ECTS credits), obtain a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 and compulsory internship.
Profile of The Programme : Medical documentation and secretarial program; regular registration of the patient registry, filing, statistics and archive system in health institutions and Students who will ensure the healthy execution of correspondence professional competence, team work, individual working ability, effective communication, tolerant, patient, empathic, cultural sensitivity and ethical consciousness.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : Students who graduate from this program will be able to work in public and private health institutions, health insurance companies, medical materials and drug companies in various departments including hospital libraries, healthcare institution archives, clinical data processing services, patient registration and admission, human resources departments.



Access to Further Studies : Graduates of the programs have the opportunity to enter the vertical transfer examination according to the relevant legislation and to complete the license.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful or not from the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Quizzes, projects other than the midterm examinations and other activities that the instructor deems appropriate can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and achievement grade is indicated in the course plan by the instructor. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be regarded as successful, a student must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GPA score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course but whose GPA is below 2.00 must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) in order to graduate and increase their GPA above 2.00.
