Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have attended in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the related boards and the courses approved by Senate. Students who pass the exemption exam pass are exempted from these courses.

To successfully complete the program, they can graduate on condition that they pass all the courses available in the program (120 ECTS credits), obtain a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 and compulsory internship.

Profile of The Programme

The aim of the Medical Imaging Techniques program is to train learned and skilled health technicians adapted to the world and country conditions who can take patient´s x-rays proper to the needs of doctors to be used in the studies of treatments and diagnoses of the diseases; prepare and apply the gadgets used with the patients under radiotherapy; work coordinated with the expert radiology physician and all other health care workers by using the advanced technology in the field at the health institutions and organizations.

Employment fields are Radiology units and Medical Imaging Centres of the public and private treatment institutions with/ without beds under the Health Ministry. The direct x-ray films needed to diagnose the disease serve in various units such as Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance, Mammography, Ultrasonography or in various units of Nuclear Medicine departments to prepare and apply the gadgets used with the patients under radiotherapy.

Graduates of the programs have the opportunity to enter the vertical transfer examination according to the relevant legislation and to complete the license.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

|
There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful or not from the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Quizzes, projects other than the midterm examinations and other activities that the instructor deems appropriate can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and achievement grade is indicated in the course plan by the instructor. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be regarded as successful, a student must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GPA score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course but whose GPA is below 2.00 must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) in order to graduate and increase their GPA above 2.00.
