History : Alaşehir Vocational School Cooperative Program (in the name of Agricultural Cooperative Program) started teaching and education in Ege University in 1986. The program, which was connected to Celal Bayar University in 1992, has been changed to a bilingual education system since 1998-1999 academic year. Until 2009, Cooperative Program continued teaching and education activities under the name of Agricultural Cooperative Program. Since 2009-2010 academic year, YÖK has changed its name to Cooperative Program.

Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle) : Pre Bachelor
Specific Admission Requirements : Candidates mıst have a high school diploma or equivalent, and the score of the Higher Education Institutions Examination by the the Centre for Measurement Selection and Placement, which has a score of sufficient score, indicates that they are placed in the relevant department.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and courses approved by Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempt from these courses
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : The Cooperative program requires that all students have to complete all the required courses with 120 ETCS and a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 on 4.0 scale at the time of graduation. All the students are required to do an internship within the required time (40 working days).
Profile of The Programme : The aim is to teach intermediate staff to undertake civil and administrative functions in all agricultural and urban cooperatives which regulate the common and non-common relations of agricultural and urban cooperatives in line with the purpose of the cooperative and carry out the financial and administrative operations in accordance with the related laws and articles of association.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : Cooperative Program graduates approximately 13,000 agricultural cooperatives operating in our country (rural credit cooperatives, agricultural cooperatives, agricultural development cooperatives, beet growers cooperatives et al.) And counts 70,000 exceeding the non-agricultural cooperatives (Motor Carriers Cooperative, Housing Cooperatives, Craftsmen and Artisans Credit And Bail Cooperatives, Business Coop., Etc.) and cooperative unions and central unions. Graduates can also work in professional producers organizations such as agriculture chambers and agricultural producer associations and in banks.
Access to Further Studies : Cooperatives Program graduates can transfer to the third class of Anadolu University Economics Faculty Economics distance education Undergraduate Business Administration and Business Administration Undergraduate Business Undergraduate Program within the scope of open and distance education system. Graduates of the Cooperatives Program have also succeeded in the vertical transfer examination; They can make a vertical transition to Business Administration, Business-Economics, Logistics Management, Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Management degree programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful or not from the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the instructor. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points.

In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate.
Graduation Requirements : To students who successfully completed the program, pass all of the courses available in the program and obtain a minimum weight of 2.0 at 4.00. In addition to this, they must successfully complete the workplace practical training internship which is 40 working days in total.

Facilities : The department serves Turkish education. There is a library, reading room and computer laboratories for students to use. It is possible to use projection machines in all of our classrooms. Students can go to contracted universities for up to two semesters under the Erasmus and Farabi programs.
