Specific Admission Requirements

Admission to the vocational school is arranged within the framework of Turkish Higher Education Council law and decisions. Students are admitted to the Machinery Program in accordance with the Higher Education Entrance Examination (YKS). Students taking enough points from TYT are admitted to the Machinery Program.
Documents required for the registration; 1 - High school diploma or its equivalent, 2 - Student placement examination result given by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM)

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; an exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the related boards and the courses approved by the senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempt from these courses.

Profile of The Programme

Construction Technology Program is a program that is providing education on the front by the use of daily life of all kinds required in the creation and operation of the building. Construction Technology, basis for the education of mathematics and physics, and then based on the structure, mechanical, hydraulic, building materials, transportation, geotechnical and construction management as the main engineering sciences, general information is given in a technical discipline. The main objective of the program is to train technical staff equipped by science and technology that are evolving along with technology to transmit the necessary knowledge and skills to practice this information. For this purpose, as well as theoretical knowledge in our program, to be used in the field of application related to the department a lot of practical information and training is provided a computer program. Students who graduate program in construction technology, construction industry, private engineering and architectural firms, construction companies, building inspection firms, and public sector issues that need to have sufficient knowledge and business skills necessary intermediate staff (professional staff) grows.

The possibility of finding a job as a construction technicians is quite large; including the personal or institutionalized construction and architectural offices and firms, building audit institutions, public institutions and organizations, building jobs, the environment department and other departments and universities, research institutions and organizations operating in the field of development practice and research laboratories, and the existing building (application and / or control) as well as before (design, survey work, material supply, technical follow-up and preparation) and after (damage assessment, maintenance, repair and retrofit).

In accordance with the guidelines set forth under SSPC exam set, the vertical transfer to the sections of Civil Engineering and Architecture of universities is possible.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

|
There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Whether the students are successful in the courses they are taking are evaluated in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated by the instructor in the course plan. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered successful in the courses they take

In Construction Department, in addition to the normal classes, the students are educated in technology classes with basic computer and CAD applications. There are all kinds of opportunity to watch the presentations. At computer labs, students use computer software which are relevant with Construction Technology.
