Celal Bayar University Kırkağaç Vocational School was founded in 1994. The Logistics Program started training in 2010-2011 academic year as a formal and secondary education.

The students are accepted to the Vocational School programs by the Central Placement Exam conducted by OSYM (Measuring, Selection and Placement Center). Candidates are placed by OSYM considering their scores from related subject of the exam conducted by OSYM, their preferences regarding higher education programs and the quotas and conditions of these programs. The enrollment of the students who are placed in the Logistics Program are carried out by the Student Affairs Office on the calendar frame determined by ÖSYM.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have attended in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption exam is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and the courses approved by the Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempted from these courses.

Students qualifies for a logistics diploma when they have successfully completed all of the courses and get a total of 120 ECTS credits in the curriculum having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully completed 40 (forty) workday vocational internship in the field of logistics.

Since the logistics sector, which is one of the mainstones of developing sectors in recent years, is in the process of renewal, the sector aims to hold a line that meets the need of trained and equipped intermediate staff. It aims to catch the growth momentum of the sector and to develop dynamic alumni that influence this momentum.

Logistics Program graduates can pursue their careers in public and private organizations operating in the field of logistics, and in institutions and organizations providing logistics services or purchasing logistics services. Thanks to the lecturers of the Logistics Program students can acquire practical and practical knowledge of the profession as well as theoretical lectures. They can start working as soon as they support their training with their internships.

Access to Further Studies

Successful students who graduated from Vocational Schools programs can make a vertical transition to their undergraduate programs in order to bring their vocational education to the top level. The examinations and placement procedures are carried out by ÖSYM. The undergraduate programs that student can make a vertical transition are; Logistics Management Transportation and Logistics International Logistics International Logistics and Transportation International Trade and Logistics Management Civil Aviation Management

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are evaluated in two stages as a midterm exam and a final exam to determine whether they are successful in the courses they have taken. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. Number of these activities and contribution to achievement grade are indicated in the course plan by the teaching staff. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order to be considered a successful students must obtain a CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered successful in the courses they take. Students who do not have a failed course but whose GPA is below 2.00 must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) in order to graduate and increase their GPA above 2.00.

In order to be able to successfully complete all of the 120 ECTS credits that are available in the Logistics Program, graduates are required to obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Facilities

Kırkağaç Vocational School has 4 computer laboratories, each with 25 computers, 2 amplifiers with a total capacity of 130 people, and 4 technological classes. In the name of "Career Days" events, former graduates or industry leaders are invited and share experiences with students, and students benefit from the internship opportunities of these companies. In addition, the program assesses their leisure time as a member of clubs that include mountaineering, music, culture and chess social activities.
