Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
:
Written, practical and oral evaluations are made for each course separately. Students are assessed whether they are successful in the courses they have taken or not in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Quizzes, projects other than midterm examinations and other activities that the instructor deems appropriate can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the teaching staff. These evaluations are converted into achievement grades with the weight determined and announced for the courses and they participate in the cumulative academic average in proportion to the course ECTS value. The achievement grade is converted to a letter grade with the relative evaluation system. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered successful in the courses they take. Students who do not have failed courses, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate.
