Manisa Celal Bayar University Kula Vocational School’ s Business Management Programme had continued it’s teaching activity from 1999-2000 Academic Year to 2009-2010, under the name of Business Programme. Kula Vocational School has continued it’s academic activity Since 2009-2010 Academic Year, by arranging as Business Management Programme.

Specific Admission Requirements

Admission to the vocational school is arranged within the framework of Turkish Higher Education Council law and decisions. Students are admitted to the Business Management Programme in accordance with the Examination of Higher Education Institutions (YKS). Students taking enough points from TYT are admitted to the Business Management Programme. Documents required for the registration; 1 - High school diploma or its equivalent, 2 - Student placement examination result given by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM)

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. The exemption exam is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the related boards and the courses that are suitable for the senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempted from these courses.

Students should fulfill 120 ECTS which has been predetermined at department program including must and elective courses. In addition, Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) must be at least 2.00/4.00 to earn PreBachelors degree for Business Management Program.

Profile of The Programme

The Business Management Program is a program that aims to provide education in fundamental sciences as well as theoretical and practical education in the subjects specific to the field of business such as finance, accounting, producting, human research management, management and organization. The main purpose of the program is to train the intermediary to make them gain the fund of knowledge meeting with the current requirements of rapidly developing science and technology. The program also aims to make students acquire the ability to transfer this knowledge into practice and analyzing and synthesizing skills.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Written, practical and oral evaluations are made for each course separately. Students are assessed whether they are successful or not from the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the teaching staff. These evaluations are converted into achievement grades with the weight determined and announced for the courses, and the course participates in the cumulative academic average proportional to the ECTS value. Success grade is converted to letter grade with relative evaluation system. In order for a student to be considered a successful course, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate

In order to graduate from the program, it is required to pass all the courses in the program (equivalent to total 120 ECTS) during the permitted period and to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 over 4.00.

Education language is Turkish in the program. Computer labs, the classrooms, sports fields and canteen are available for students` use. Presently, there are 2 Associate Profesor and 2 Lecturer PhD. at the program.
