Manisa Celal Bayar University Akhisar Vocational School, Department of Mechanical and Metal Technologies, Mechanical program continues to teach since 2002-2003 academic year. Our department, which responds to needs in terms of transportation ease, infrastructure and equipment, is trying to meet sector needs by providing many graduates. Given the graduation / employment rate, graduates are employed in the sector at the request of our graduates. Academic infrastructure and equipments are sufficient for the department and students are preferred by the sector.

Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and the courses approved by the Senate. Students who pass the exemption exam pass are exempted from these courses

Profile of The Programme

In this program, it is aimed to educate the technical staff with enough knowledge and job skills in the drawing-design and production of the machine elements that the industry sector requires in the manufacturing stages, machining machines without sawdust and chill, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, CNC workbenches and Cad-Cam programs. The main goal of the program is to train machine technicians who are capable of analyzing and synthesizing at the same time the skills that can be transferred to the knowledge accumulation required by rapidly developing science and technology.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

The graduates can be employed in manufacturing-assembly-marketing and sales areas related to machinery in general. Production, machining, installation, automotive, energy, material, welding, heating-cooling-air conditioning, etc. of machining and parts without machining. They can be employed in the private and public sector with the title of machine technician in the fields. They can also operate by opening their own workplaces related to their own fields.

Access to Further Studies

Our graduates are able to make vertical transfer to the undergraduate programs of Engineering and Technology Faculties such as Mechanical Engineering and Machine Manufacturing Engineering, which are related to the machine by Vertical Transfer Exam (VTE).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|
:
|
There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful in the courses they have taken or not in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Quizzes, projects other than midterm examinations and other activities that the instructor deems appropriate can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the teaching staff. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a CGPA score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered successful in the courses they take. Students who do not have a failed course but whose CGPA is below 2.00 must first take the courses of (DC) and (DD) above the grade of 2.00 in order to graduate
